Located in Lionshead CIrcle, Dobson opened its doors in 1979, named after Vail's first mayor, John A. Dobson. Currently, Dobson Arena is under going an 18-month remodel, to be reopened October, 2026. As we call this place home, we look forward to a bright, new future in Vail & the opportunities it will bring to the valley!

Located just an exit away from West Vail, VSSA is a 6th-12th grade public school in the Eagle County District, that holds up to 300 student-athletes. VSSA was founded in 2007, located in Maloit Park, adjacent to Minturn Fitness Center (MFC), and is partnered with Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV).

Programs include: Alpine, freeski, mogul, Nordic, snowboard, swimming, gymnastics, & hockey.

VSSA is the first public sports academy in the United States!
