Summer Series
What is it?
The Mountain Summer Series is a series of tournment's in the mountains! In each tournament every team is created using a "free agent" style meaning players will register as individuals and be placed on teams. Our staff will draft the teams as evenly as possible to promote a competitive fun environment. If players or families are traveling together we will try as our best to accommodate players playing on the same team so they at least know they have a buddy or two on the team!

Weekend Structure
Each tournment only has four teams in each age group and every team has a four game guarantee! The way this works is every team plays each other once playing one game on Friday & two on Saturday. On Sunday the bottom two ranked team play and the top two ranked teams play each other.
Before each game coaches will run a team warm up, team building exercise and a chalk talk to get the players to know each other better and ready to have fun on the ice!
Why Was This Created?
The Mountain Summer League is a tournament series that replaces out of state tournament teams in the summer. We all live in Colorado for a reason and why would we want to travel anywhere else but the mountains (unless you are joining us from out of state, then welcome!).
The sole purpose of this tournament is to forget about all the stress and enjoy a weekend in the mountains! Summer hockey has taken a form of it own and followed in the footsteps of the regular season where people take this game WAY too serious. Our weekends are set up to relax, let loose, hang out with friends and make some new ones in the mountains!
With our tournaments being a "free agent" style registration players 100 percent will be playing with kids from different associations. We see this as a massive part of the fun where players will compete against each other all year long and now in the summer will become best friends playing the game they love!
Coaching
Will there be coaching?
Of corse! We are not just going to drop the puck and stand behind the bench and say nothing to the kids. These weekends are opportunities to grow as players and try new things, lean new things and make mistakes without the risk of losing ice time or some coach being a jerk if you turn a puck over.
Replacing camps?
By no means are we saying that you should never go to a hockey camp! Camps absolutely have their place in the summer to be in a structured environment where players can sharpen their skills. With that being said.... What kid wants to just do drills all summer long. Playing in a summer tournament can effectively replace attending a hockey camp because it offers many of the same benefits in a more competitive and dynamic environment. Tournaments provide players with real-game experience, allowing them to apply their skills under pressure and adapt to different opponents and playing styles.
